The photography of Cosmo Condina can be expressed as an acute eye for graphic colour, composition and content.  Light reflects what is transformed from object to eye to art. If lifestyle dictates the work it’s because Cosmo is a true believer in less is more. He has a minimalist  view of the world around him.

The idea that Cosmo can translate a 3 dimensional world into 2 dimensional, and still evoke a feeling of emotion from the work is the moment the  paper becomes art.

Light is the brush that paints the object that becomes the photograph. To observe what light does in nature, architecture or people is the basis of what I create.

Style evolved from training as a graphic artist. Film was the medium and the idea of not knowing what the results would be until the film was processed was a good basis to explore the endless possibilities until it felt the moment was captured. Photographing in the film days was essential in training the eye to see colour and what were the limitations of camera and lens. Film has now been replaced with digital capture but the same principles are at work.

His world is one of awe with travel. The serendipity of the unrehearsed magic moment of being in the zone at the right place in time is what Cosmo captures.
